Ministry of Education in association with the Abu Dhabi Education Council (Adec) and Dubai’s Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), has launched a nation-wide campaign that aims at cultivating the ‘value of giving’ among school students.

Initiated under the The National Happiness and Positivity Programme, ‘100 Days of Giving’ is an umbrella programme, which includes, other  national initiatives, such as #1MillionActsOfGiving, the Happiness Journey, and many more.

The idea of this initiative is to nurture positive habits in children to shape up their characters in a positive way. The basic idea is to encourage children to

The initiative aims to involve students, parents and educational and administrative bodies within schools in a series of activities that help shape students’ personalities and encourage them to adopt giving as a way of life. The students participating in the initiative is to document their activities and share it with the teachers. The top students will be awarded by the organisers.

“This initiative – 100 Days of Giving, targets students and schools of UAE. It embodies the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai – Happiness is about giving, helping people, and not expecting anything in return,” said Ohood bint Khalfan Al Roumi, Minister of State for Happiness.
