More than 160 international universities from over 20 countries are expected to participate in the 11th edition of Najah Abu Dhabi, one of the UAE’s leading university fairs. The event begins today, October 25, and runs until October 27 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre. It is organised by Informal Exhibitions with the support of the Abu Dhabi Department of education and Knowledge, previously known as Abu Dhabi Education Council. The 2017 edition will be the largest and strongest in the history of Najah, with pavilions from countries such as the United States, Canada, Japan, Lebanon and Pakistan and is expected to attract more than 16,000 students (years 10, 11 and 12), parents, teachers and academic staff.

“Najah Abu Dhabi is an ideal platform to network with the new generation in the UAE,” says Tamer Nahas, Exhibition Director of Najah Abu Dhabi. “The fair provides an ideal opportunity for students to meet and discuss future careers with representatives of some of the best higher education institutions.” At the event, students and parents can meet with representatives of prominent local and global universities and have discussions on relevant and appropriate higher education paths for their desired careers and a bright future. This year, the show also includes a lot of educational and recreational activities that target all family members.

The fair will remain open on Friday giving parents the opportunity to visit with their children. Educational activities and programmes are being introduced this year to entertain the entire family, including various playoffs and activities from the world’s largest indoor theme park, IMG and a mystery activity from Escape Hunt. In addition, Najah’s Knowledge Zone has planned various seminars on crucial topics that target parents and students to widen chiltheir informative and educational vision on different aspects related to higher education. The seminar sessions cover topics on studying abroad and will answer any educational challenges that students may face and how to tackle them.

Having Canada as one of the major country pavilions at Najah is a fantastic opportunity for students visiting from schools across the emirates. Education Canada has organised the participation of some of the strongest Canadian universities including Lakehead University, College of New Caledonia, Seneca College, Sheridan College, University of Manitoba, University of Waterloo, Western University and the Mercan Group of companies.

In line with the UAE’s Year of Giving, the exhibition is supporting UNICEF through its Book Drive. The initiative encourages  students, teachers and visitors alike to donate their unwanted books. The donations will be sold by the chosen charity to raise funds for their activities. Najah hopes the initiative will promote reading and giving among school students.

Whether you are a student, parent or teacher, visit Najah Abu Dhabi to ensure you are exploring the best higher educational opportunities available from 160 universities and institutions all at one place. Visit Najah and secure your future.
